Labourer, general - manufacturing

Good Earth Canada is situated in Escuminac, NB and is hiring a Labourer, general - manufacturing to join the team. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. We are offering a Seasonal employment or Full time opportunity. Flexible availability required for: Overtime required, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, On call, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must transport items throughout the plant using powered equipment.
• The candidate must check and weigh materials and products.
• The candidate must assist machine operators, assemblers, and other workers.
• The candidate must perform other labouring and elemental activities.
• The candidate must clean machines and immediate work areas.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate must be punctual.
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must show initiative.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks frequently.
• The candidate should be required to handle heavy loads as part of routine work.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate must be able to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
• The candidate must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
• The candidate must be willing to work in a standing position for extended periods.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in various positions, including those that require sitting, standing, and walking, as well as those that involve physical activity.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.
• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in a warehouse, which can be a noisy, busy place to work, with hundreds of warehouse operatives, pickers, and packers, working alongside many forklift truck drivers who are moving pallets between shelves.
• The candidate should work in a manufacturing and industrial plant operating a large factory to produce goods efficiently and reliably.
• The candidate must work in agriculture to cultivate crops, manage soil and irrigation, and maintain productive and sustainable farming operations.
