Jumbo drill operator - underground mining

Dumas Contracting Ltd. in Timmins, ON is inviting applications for the position of Jumbo drill operator - underground mining. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Flexible availability required for: Overtime required, Shift.

Job Description

• The candidate must operate specialized drills to produce underground passageways.
• The candidate must set up and operate drills and drilling machines to produce a designated pattern of blasting holes.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must have 2 to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.

Work Site Environment

• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
• The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.
