Journeyman/woman construction electrician

Ingonish Electrical Ltd. in Ingonish Beach, NS is inviting applications for the position of Journeyman/woman construction electrician. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity. Shift timings include: Early morning, Morning, Day.

Job Description

• The candidate must install electrical controls and panel boxes.
• The candidate must replace and repair electrical controls and panel boxes.
• The candidate must install underground wiring and cables.
• The candidate must keep maintenance reports and documentation.
• The candidate must splice, join, and connect wires.
• The candidate must test and measure voltage, loads, and ground faults for integrity of circuits.
• The candidate must troubleshoot and isolate faults.
• The candidate must install surface mount and/or overhead cables.
• The candidate must supervise other workers.
• The candidate must estimate costs and materials.
• The candidate must read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.

• The candidate must work in hot conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in construction trades and crafts, including bricklaying, stonemasonry, carpentry, joinery, demolition, electrical work, painting and decorating, plumbing, scaffolding, steeple jacking, and wall and floor work.
• The candidate should be willing to relocate and be ready to move to a new city/different city for a job.
• The candidate must work from a remote location, performing their duties from a site other than the employer’s central office while maintaining productivity and communication.
