A & K Tiles & Drywall Ltd. in Edmonton, AB is inviting applications for the position of Insulator. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Flexible availability required for: Day, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.
• The candidate must measure and cut insulating materials to required shape and dimensions using hand and power tools.
• The candidate must fit insulation around obstructions and between joists and studs.
• The candidate must install vapor barriers and fire-retardant materials.
• The candidate must brush waterproofing cement or other materials over insulating materials.
• The candidate must remove asbestos, ceramic fibers, lead, mold, and urea-formaldehyde insulation materials from buildings.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate must be willing to work in a standing position for extended periods.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in various locations when employees are scattered across different worksites.
