Industrial mechanic

Combined Metal Industries in North York, ON is inviting applications for the position of Industrial mechanic. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Work schedule: Overtime required.

Job Description

• The candidate must assemble mechanical equipment.
• The candidate must assemble stationary industrial machinery.
• The candidate must detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions.
• The candidate must read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.
• The candidate must repair or replace defective machinery parts.
• The candidate must fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up.
• The candidate must perform routine maintenance work on machinery.
• The candidate must operate machining tools to fabricate parts.
• The candidate must install machinery and equipment.
• The candidate must operate hoisting and lifting equipment.
• The candidate must commission systems and components.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must have excellent written communication skills.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
