Hotel night auditor

NPC/Sandman Hotel Group/Sutton Place Hotel in Halifax, NS is inviting applications for the position of Hotel night auditor. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Shift timings include: Overtime required, Evening, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must register arriving guests and assign rooms.
• The candidate must take, cancel, and change room reservations.
• The candidate must provide information on hotel facilities and services.
• The candidate must provide general information about points of interest in the area.
• The candidate must process guests’ departures, calculate charges, and receive payments.
• The candidate must balance cash, prepare balance sheets, cash reports, and related financial documentation.
• The candidate must maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments.
• The candidate must follow emergency and safety procedures.
• The candidate must perform clerical duties, including faxing, filing, and photocopying.
• The candidate must answer telephone calls and relay messages accurately.
• The candidate must provide exceptional customer service.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• Or equivalent experience.
