Home support worker

Wilma Paller is situated in Richmond Hill, ON and is hiring a Home support worker to join the team. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Required shifts: To be determined.

Job Description

• The candidate must administer bedside and personal care to clients.
• The candidate must administer medications as prescribed.
• The candidate must assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene.
• The candidate must assist in regular exercise, such as walking.
• The candidate must feed or assist in feeding.
• The candidate must perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
• The candidate must plan therapeutic diets and menus.
• The candidate must provide companionship.
• The candidate must provide personal care.
• The candidate must prepare and serve nutritious meals.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• Equivalent professional experience accepted.

Work Site Environment

• The work environment is smoke-free.

Work Setting

• The candidate must be able to work in the employer’s or client’s home, be capable of working at varied site locations, and understand that performance progression is reviewed annually.
• The candidate must work at the employer's home.
