Job Description
- The candidate will be responsible for coordinating and leading assigned projects or programs, assisting with the development of project plans, budgets, timelines, and resource requirements, and working with project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- The candidate must collaborate with Branch and Regional Department staff to coordinate the planning, development, and implementation of projects and initiatives that meet departmental facility needs.
- The candidate will be responsible for participating in multi-disciplinary teams and internal and external committees to evaluate initiatives and ensure compliance with established project standards.
- The candidate will be responsible for participating in the development of annual and multi-year capital plans to support organizational priorities and project requirements.
- The candidate will be responsible for working directly with Branch staff to understand program and project operational concepts, objectives, and service delivery approaches.
- The candidate will be responsible for acting as a resource to Branch staff on projects and assisting with issue resolution to ensure corporate standards and applications are maintained.
- The candidate must take a leadership role or actively contribute to project committees and work groups by completing research, developing recommendations, and supporting required changes.
- The candidate will be responsible for developing or supporting the development of project plans and objectives, monitoring progress, making required project adjustments, and providing regular updates to the Supervisor.
- The candidate will be responsible for developing or supporting the development of Branch design guidelines and standards.
- The candidate will be responsible for preparing reports, proposals, and background materials to support special projects.
- The candidate will be responsible for conducting research and consulting with Branch staff to review issues and processes as requested.
- The candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining project management databases, including information related to scheduling, costing, contract documents, and other Branch project requirements.
- The candidate will be responsible for assisting with the implementation of future program and operational requirements to improve Branch productivity.
- The candidate will be responsible for consulting with Branch staff and contributing to the design, development, testing, modification, and implementation of evaluation, benchmarking, and measurement tools.
- The candidate will be responsible for identifying key performance indicators and supporting management staff in establishing appropriate measurement methods.
- The candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong working relationships with key staff members within assigned functional areas.
- The candidate will be responsible for assisting the Supervisor and Branch staff in identifying business processes, developing process maps, and establishing effective workflows.
- The candidate will be responsible for collecting data and business requirements based on customer needs and coordinating workflow mapping activities with stakeholders.
Job Requirements
- The candidate must have successfully completed a Community College Diploma in Architectural, Interior Design, Business Administration, Engineering Sciences, or a related field, or possess an approved equivalent combination of education and experience.
- The candidate must hold a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), or Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) designation, or demonstrate equivalent experience and knowledge gained through completion of one of these programs.
- The candidate must have a minimum of three (3) years of related experience in building construction, facility management, or interior design, including the development of designs, plans, specifications, and contract administration for various building types.
- The candidate must have experience in project and program management, planning, research, business planning, workflow mapping, and process design activities.
- The candidate must demonstrate knowledge of the theories, principles, and practices related to project, program, and portfolio management, as well as building design, construction, and maintenance within structural, architectural, and engineering disciplines.
- The candidate must demonstrate the ability to identify and develop performance indicators, analyze data, evaluate trends, and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- The candidate must demonstrate knowledge of the Branch's operations, programs, and services.
- The candidate must demonstrate knowledge and ability in corporate core competencies, including Communication, Innovation, Teamwork and Collaboration, and Personal Ownership.
- The candidate must demonstrate strong project management, presentation, problem-solving, and team leadership skills to effectively support organizational initiatives.
- The candidate must demonstrate strong communication and conflict resolution skills to influence decisions and effectively present information to diverse audiences.
- The candidate must demonstrate effective public relations skills to develop partnerships and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
- The candidate must demonstrate computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentations, project management tools, SharePoint, and Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) applications.
- The candidate must be able to evaluate Branch program and operational needs and recommend appropriate modifications to improve effectiveness.
- The candidate must have the ability to participate in and coordinate cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams to develop innovative process designs using Continuous Quality Improvement methodologies.
- The candidate must have the ability to assist in the design, configuration, and implementation of business transaction processes.
- The candidate must have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting overlapping deadlines and maintaining project priorities.

Work Conditions
- The candidate must have the ability to travel to off-site locations in a timely and efficient manner as required to support job responsibilities.
- The candidate must have the ability to work outside regular business hours when required to meet operational needs.
- The candidate will be required to work 35 scheduled hours per week.
- The candidate will be required to work scheduled shifts from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
