Freeman Lumber is situated in Greenfield, NS and is hiring a Heavy equipment operator - tractor-loader-backhoe to join the team. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Required shifts: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must operate heavy equipment.
• The candidate must conduct pre-operational checks on equipment.
• The candidate must operate two-way radios and other communication equipment.
• The candidate must perform routine equipment maintenance.
• The candidate must load and off-load machines.
• The candidate must load, feed or place materials into machines.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and busy environment.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
• The candidate must work in hot conditions.
• The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.
• The candidate must operate or work around heavy equipment.
