Trans-United Consultants Ltd. is situated in Woodbridge, ON and is hiring a Heavy-duty equipment mechanic to join the team. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity. Required shifts: Day.

Job Description

• The candidate must instruct apprentices.
• The candidate must troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions.
• The candidate must diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required.
• The candidate must keep maintenance reports and documentation.
• The candidate must test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications.
• The candidate must perform repair work on heavy trucks.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a certificate or diploma in a related trade.
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.
