Head chef

Mr. Sushi Lonsdale ( North Vancouver, BC) is currently looking for a skilled Head chef. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Work schedule: Evening, Weekend, Shift.

Job Description

• The candidate must estimate the amount and costs of supplies and food items.
• The candidate must create new recipes.
• The candidate must instruct cooks in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food.
• The candidate must supervise cooks and other kitchen staff.
• The candidate must prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions.
• The candidate must arrange for equipment purchases and repairs.
• The candidate must plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards.
• The candidate must prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
• The candidate must recruit and hire staff.
• The candidate must train staff in the preparation, cooking, and handling of food.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The ideal candidate must have more than 5 years of experience in a related industry.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in restaurants that are generally fast-paced and require the utmost efficiency.
