Now hiring: Head chef at Ginza Ichiban Cuisine in Quesnel, BC. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. Shift timings include: Evening, Weekend, Shift.

Job Description

• The candidate must estimate the amount and costs of supplies and food items.
• The candidate must create new recipes.
• The candidate must instruct cooks in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food.
• The candidate must supervise cooks and other kitchen staff.
• The candidate must prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions.
• The candidate must prepare and cook meals or specialty foods.
• The candidate must arrange for equipment purchases and repairs.
• The candidate must plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards.
• The candidate must recruit and hire staff.
• The candidate must train staff in the preparation, cooking, and handling of food.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must demonstrate leadership.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must show initiative.
