Head chef

Jejudo Restaurant ( Burnaby, BC) is currently looking for a skilled Head chef. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Work schedule: Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift.

Job Description

• The candidate must demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to cooking staff.
• The candidate must supervise activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers.
• The candidate must instruct cooks in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food.
• The candidate must prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets.
• The candidate must prepare and cook meals or specialty foods.
• The candidate must requisition food and kitchen supplies as needed.
• The candidate must plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards.

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must demonstrate leadership.
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
