Shipping clerk

Printer's Parts & Equipment ( Scarborough, ON) is currently looking for a skilled Shipping clerk. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Flexible availability required for: Day.

Job Description

• The candidate must determine methods of shipment.
• The candidate must schedule distribution of goods.
• The candidate must schedule transportation conveyances.
• The candidate must prepare bills of lading, invoices, and other shipping documents.
• The candidate must assemble containers and crates.
• The candidate must maintain internal record-keeping systems.
• The candidate must record shortages and reject damaged goods.
• The candidate must route goods to appropriate storage areas.
• The candidate must pack goods to be shipped.
• The candidate must unpack goods received.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 45 kg (100 lbs).

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in a warehouse, which can be a noisy, busy place to work, with hundreds of warehouse operatives, pickers, and packers, working alongside many forklift truck drivers who are moving pallets between shelves.
