Wesbert Winery in Penticton, BC is inviting applications for the position of Harvesting labourer. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Flexible availability required for: Early morning, Morning, Day, Weekend, Shift, Flexible hours.

Job Description

• The candidate must maintain and manage the growth of vines, vine canopy, and grapes.
• The candidate must pick row and orchard crops.
• The candidate must sort fruits and vegetables.
• The candidate must tie and secure plants.
• The candidate must train trees to produce more fruit of higher quality.
• The candidate must perform weeding.
• The candidate must write daily basic progress reports.
• The candidate must clean work areas.
• The candidate must fertilize and spray crops.
• The candidate must harvest crops.
• The candidate must load, unload, and transfer crates, supplies, farm produce, livestock, and poultry.
• The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
• The candidate must detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock, and poultry.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
