Harvest worker

Sunterra Greenhouse in Acme, AB is inviting applications for the position of Harvest worker. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Required shifts: Overtime required, Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening. This position has been approved by the LMIA.

Job Description

• The candidate must divide fresh harvested produce into marketable and non-marketable lots.
• The candidate must grade vegetables and fruits into different grades according to size, shape, colour, and volume to fetch a high price in the market.
• The candidate must pack fruits and vegetables.
• The candidate must sort fruits and vegetables.
• The candidate must clean work areas.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• No experience required. The employer will provide training to the selected candidate.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must be a quick learner.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in a rural area; most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.

Transportation/travel information

• The candidate must have their own transportation.
• There is no access to public transportation.
