Gillespie Handyman Services Inc. ( Nepean, ON) is currently looking for a skilled Handyman/woman. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity. The schedule involves Day shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings.
• The candidate must move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies.
• The candidate must perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair.
• The candidate must clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.
• The candidate must prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, structural tiles, or other masonry units.
• The candidate must measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets.
• The candidate must assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs.
• The candidate must install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings using hand and power tools.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must be able to lift more than 45 kg (100 lbs).
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must have excellent written communication skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must show initiative.
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate must work in all weather conditions.

• The candidate should work in a residential construction process that involves expanding, renovating, or constructing a new home or spaces intended to be occupied for residential purposes.
• The candidate should work in commercial and industrial construction. "Industrial" refers to any business dealing with manufacturing goods. "Commercial" refers to any business done with the sole motive of gaining a profit.
