Greenhouse labourer

Greenway Hydroponics Inc. in Kingsville, ON is inviting applications for the position of Greenhouse labourer. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. We are offering a Seasonal employment or Full time opportunity. Required shifts: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must clean crops effectively.
• The candidate must cultivate and manage vertical farming systems.
• The candidate must cut horticultural crops.
• The candidate must perform greenhouse cleaning.
• The candidate will be responsible for harvesting vegetables by hand.
• The candidate must manually remove all suckers and water sprouts.
• The candidate must tie and secure plants.
• The candidate must perform weeding.
• The candidate must clean work areas.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
• The candidate must be a good team player.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate must be able to work at heights.
• The candidate must work in wet or damp conditions.
• The candidate must work in hot conditions.
• The work environment is smoke-free.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in a rural area; most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.
