Greenhouse labourer

Morgan Creek Tropicals Ltd in Surrey, BC is seeking a self-motivated Greenhouse labourer. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Flexible availability required for: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, On call, Flexible hours.

Job Description

• The candidate must clean crops effectively.
• The candidate must clear and collect brush and debris from fields and other work areas.
• The candidate must perform greenhouse cleaning.
• The candidate must tie and secure plants.
• The candidate must plant bulbs and seeds.
• The candidate must pot and re-pot plants.
• The candidate must water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens.
• The candidate must clean work areas.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate should be required to handle heavy loads as part of routine work.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
• The candidate will be required to work in confined spaces.
• The candidate must work in wet or damp conditions.
• The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.
• The candidate must work in cold or refrigerated conditions.
• The work environment is smoke-free.
