MOUNTAIN VIEW MEDICAL CENTRE is situated in Calgary, AB and is hiring a GP (general practitioner) to join the team. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Flexible availability required for: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Flexible hours.

Job Description

• The candidate must collect medical information from patients, family members, or other medical professionals.
• The candidate must examine patients’ health conditions to identify diseases and injuries.
• The candidate must help patients develop healthy habits, break old habits, and reshape their approach to wellness.
• The candidate must order laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures to determine the most appropriate medical treatment.
• The candidate must consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients’ physical and mental health.
• The candidate must prescribe and administer medications and treatments.
• The candidate must inoculate and vaccinate patients to prevent and treat diseases.
• The candidate must advise patients on health care.
• The candidate must coordinate or manage primary patient care.
• The candidate must provide counselling and support to patients and their families on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English or French.
• The candidate must hold a degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in an urban area with a high population density.
• The candidate should work in various locations when employees are scattered across different worksites.
• The candidate should be willing to relocate and be ready to move to a new city/different city for a job.
• The candidate must work in a private practice.
• The candidate must work in a clinic.

• The candidate shall receive benefits in line with the collective agreement contract between the employer and the union representing a bargaining unit.
