Job Description
- The candidate must interview clients individually, in families, or in groups to assess their situations and determine the types of services required.
- The candidate must supervise social workers, paid para-professional staff, student trainees, and volunteers.
- The candidate must perform administrative tasks.
- The candidate must provide counsel and therapy to help clients resolve social and personal problems.
- The candidate must plan assistance programs for clients.
- The candidate must refer clients to agencies providing financial assistance, legal aid, housing, medical treatment, and other services.
- The candidate must serve as a member of an interdisciplinary professional team working with client groups.
- The candidate must advocate on clientsβ behalf in courts or hearings.
- The candidate must represent and advocate for client groups by promoting and pursuing appropriate solutions to issues affecting them.
- The candidate must develop prevention and intervention programs to meet community needs.

- The candidate must have a College/CEGEP diploma.
- Or equivalent experience.
