General labourer - farm

Top Tomato Foods ( Markham, ON) is currently looking for a skilled General labourer - farm. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Position status: Seasonal employment or Full time. Flexible availability required for: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must apply the technique of hoeing between the row.
• The candidate must divide fresh harvested produce into marketable and non-marketable lots.
• The candidate must harvest seedlings.
• The candidate must pack fruits and vegetables.
• The candidate must plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops.
• The candidate must write daily basic progress reports.
• The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
• The candidate must examine product for quality and market readiness.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and busy environment.
• The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks frequently.
