General labourer - farm

First Light Greenhouses Inc. ( Leamington, ON) is currently looking for a skilled General labourer - farm. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This is a Seasonal employment or Full time position. The schedule involves Overtime required, Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must perform greenhouse cleaning.
• The candidate will be responsible for harvesting vegetables by hand.
• The candidate must manually remove all suckers and water sprouts.
• The candidate must clean work areas.
• The candidate must transplant seedlings or rooted cuttings.
• The candidate must spray or dust plants with insecticides and fungicides.
• The candidate must report signs of insect or disease damage.
• The candidate must assist in pruning trees, shrubs, and plants.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• A candidate with experience is an asset.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate must be able to work at heights.
• The candidate must work in hot conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in a rural area; most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.
