Town Plot Orchards Ltd in Port Williams, NS is inviting applications for the position of General labourer - farm. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. We are offering a Seasonal employment or Full time opportunity. Shift timings include: Early morning, Morning, Day, Weekend, , 07:00 to 18:00.

Job Description

• The candidate must clear fields of wood and stones.
• The candidate must pick row and orchard crops.
• The candidate must plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops.
• The candidate must manually remove all suckers and water sprouts.
• The candidate must tie and secure plants.
• The candidate must train trees to produce more fruit of higher quality.
• The candidate must perform weeding.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.
• The candidate must be reliable.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
• The candidate must work in wet or damp conditions.
• The candidate must work in hot conditions.
• The candidate must work in all weather conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in a rural area; most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.
