General farm worker - livestock

Monette Farms Ltd. in Rocky View, AB is seeking a self-motivated General farm worker - livestock. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. This position has been approved by the LMIA.

Job Description

• The candidate must monitor animal health.
• The candidate must plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops.
• The candidate must fertilize and spray crops.
• The candidate must harvest crops.
• The candidate must feed and tend animals.
• The candidate must clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens.
• The candidate must perform general farm duties.
• The candidate must maintain farm machinery, equipment, and buildings.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must have 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
• The candidate must be a good team player.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in a rural area; most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.
• The candidate should work in staff accommodation that offers live-in accommodation when an employer provides a housing offer to its employees.
