General farm worker - livestock

Dairy Farm is situated in Gladstone, MB and is hiring a General farm worker - livestock to join the team. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Shift timings include: Early morning, Day, Night, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must disinfect pens, barns, or poultry houses.
• The candidate must handle animals.
• The candidate must monitor animal health.
• The candidate must prepare a clean, dry area for cows that are calving.
• The candidate must feed and tend animals.
• The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
• The candidate must milk cows.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must be reliable.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate must work in hot conditions.
• The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.
• The candidate must work in wet or damp conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in a rural area; most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.
• The candidate should work in staff accommodation that offers live-in accommodation when an employer provides a housing offer to its employees.
