General farm worker - livestock

County Line Swine in Alvinston, ON is seeking a self-motivated General farm worker - livestock. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Required shifts: Early morning, Morning, Day, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must disinfect pens, barns, or poultry houses.
• The candidate must handle animals.
• The candidate must monitor animal health.
• The candidate must perform pig littering activities, including clipping needle teeth, docking tails, administering iron and other medications, identifying piglets, and castration.
• The candidate must feed and tend animals.
• The candidate must supervise and oversee breeding and other livestock-related programs.
• The candidate must clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens.
• The candidate must detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock, and poultry.
• The candidate must perform general farm duties.
