MACDOW MECHANICAL LTD in Lower Sackville, NS is seeking a self-motivated Gas fitter. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. Work schedule: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must measure and mark reference points for installation of gas lines and equipment.
• The candidate must repair and service gas appliances and related equipment.
• The candidate must instruct apprentices.
• The candidate must advise clients regarding standards, safety features, and maintenance of gas units and systems.
• The candidate must study drawings and specifications to determine the layout of the installation and materials required.
• The candidate must test and adjust control mechanisms and check pipes and piping connections for gas leaks using gas detecting devices.
• The candidate must estimate costs and materials.
• The candidate must test and replace defective equipment or components.
