AEON HABITAT INC ( Vancouver, BC) is currently looking for a skilled Furniture and fixtures assembler. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Flexible availability required for: Day.

Job Description

• The candidate must make minor adjustments and repairs to furniture.
• The candidate must prepare, sand and trim wooden furniture and fixture parts.
• The candidate must record information on products inspected.
• The candidate must assemble wooden or metal furniture and fixture parts to form subassemblies and complete articles.
• The candidate must read blueprints and drawings.
• The candidate must reinforce assembled furniture and fixtures with supports.
• The candidate must install hardware on furniture and fixtures.
• The candidate must inspect furniture and fixture subassemblies and finished products for conformance to quality standards.
• The candidate must mark defective parts or products for repair.
• The candidate must smooth gouges using wood filler and sand wooden surfaces.
• The candidate must make minor furniture repairs.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• Equivalent professional experience accepted.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in a retail or wholesale furniture store.
