Fruit farm worker

The Berry Patch is situated in St. Andrews, PE and is hiring a Fruit farm worker to join the team. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. This is a Seasonal employment or Full time position. Flexible availability required for: , 08:00 to 17:00.

Job Description

• The candidate must apply the technique of hoeing between the row.
• The candidate must clear fields of wood and stones.
• The candidate must pack fruits and vegetables.
• The candidate must pick row and orchard crops.
• The candidate must plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops.
• The candidate must perform weeding.
• The candidate must clean work areas.
• The candidate must fertilize and spray crops.
• The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
• The candidate must examine product for quality and market readiness.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in a rural area; most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.

• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.
• The candidate must be willing to walk for long periods of time.
