CREEKSIDE FOREST PRODUCTS LTD. in Richmond, BC is inviting applications for the position of Forest products processing supervisor. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. Shift timings include: Morning, Day, Evening, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must recommend measures to improve productivity.
• The candidate must resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
• The candidate must ensure that systems and equipment are operating efficiently and that proper maintenance and repairs are performed.
• The candidate must recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions.
• The candidate must establish work schedules.
• The candidate must prepare production and other reports.
• The candidate must recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
• The candidate must set up machines and equipment.
• The candidate must supervise, coordinate, and schedule (and possibly review) activities of workers.
• The candidate must monitor safety conditions.
• The candidate must requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
• The candidate must train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies.
• The candidate must oversee the safety of operations.

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
