Foamed insulation applicator

K&K INSULATION LTD. ( Surrey, BC) is currently looking for a skilled Foamed insulation applicator. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. Flexible availability required for: Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.
• The candidate must select the type of insulation required.
• The candidate must instruct apprentices.
• The candidate must measure and cut insulating materials to required shape and dimensions using hand and power tools.
• The candidate must apply and secure insulation using spraying, blowing, pasting, strapping, taping, and other application and installation methods.
• The candidate must fit insulation around obstructions and between joists and studs.
• The candidate must install vapor barriers and fire-retardant materials.
• The candidate must brush waterproofing cement or other materials over insulating materials.
• The candidate must fabricate and apply removable insulation pads and covers.
• The candidate must estimate costs and materials.
• The candidate must assemble, erect, and dismantle scaffolding, rigging, and hoisting equipment.
• The candidate must remove asbestos, ceramic fibers, lead, mold, and urea-formaldehyde insulation materials from buildings.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate should be required to handle heavy loads as part of routine work.
• The candidate must be willing to work in a standing position for extended periods.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.

Work Site Environment

• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
• The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.
• The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.
• The candidate must work in hot conditions.
• The candidate will be required to work in confined spaces.
• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in construction trades and crafts, including bricklaying, stonemasonry, carpentry, joinery, demolition, electrical work, painting and decorating, plumbing, scaffolding, steeple jacking, and wall and floor work.
• The candidate must work in a commercial setting that fosters a workforce of highly competent, respectful, mature, and accountable employees working toward a common goal.
• The candidate should work in the industrial area with facilities such as factories, plants, processing operations, and similar operations.
• The candidate must work in the installation process to set up large-scale, mixed-media constructions, often designed for a specific location or time period.
• The candidate must work in residential settings, performing tasks on one-, two-, and three-family dwellings.
