Job Description
- The candidate must cut, clean, and trim fish or seafood prior to marketing or further processing.
- The candidate must transport fish and shellfish to the designated work area.
- The candidate must check products and packaging for defects, ensure conformance to company standards, and perform corrective machine adjustments as required.
- The candidate must disjoint and remove meat from lobsters or other crustaceans preparatory to canning or further processing.
- The candidate must record production information.
- The candidate must weigh fish or shellfish, record weights, and pack products in ice for storage or transport.
- The candidate must clean machines and immediate work areas.
- The candidate must sort fish according to species, weight, and destination.
Job Requirements
- The candidate must be fluent in English or French.
- There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
- The candidate must be reliable.
Work Site Environment
- The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
- The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.
- The candidate must work in cold or refrigerated conditions.
- The candidate must work in wet or damp conditions.
