Deerfoot Inn & Casino is situated in Calgary, AB and is hiring a First cook to join the team. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity. The schedule involves Early morning, Morning, Day, Night, Weekend, Shift, On call, Flexible hours shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must plan menus and estimate food requirements for preparation.
• The candidate must prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and food items.
• The candidate must prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
• The candidate must train staff in the preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
• The candidate must supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
• The candidate must maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
• The candidate must clean kitchen and work areas.
• The candidate must organize buffets and banquets.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be able to handle weights between 45 and 60 kg (100-132 lbs).
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
