Fire sprinkler fitter

Fire-Tech Sprinklers Ltd. ( Richmond, BC) is currently looking for a skilled Fire sprinkler fitter. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment.

Job Description

• The candidate must install sprinkler heads and mount prepared pipes.
• The candidate must select, measure, cut, ream and thread pipes.
• The candidate must instruct apprentices.
• The candidate must connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment in accordance with specifications and safety standards.
• The candidate must install clamps, brackets and hangers to properly support piping systems, sprinkler systems and fire protection equipment using hand and power tools.
• The candidate must install valves, alarms and associated equipment.
• The candidate must join pipes using soldering and welding equipment.
• The candidate must service and repair sprinkler systems.
• The candidate must supervise other workers.
• The candidate must test systems for leaks using pressure equipment.
• The candidate must cut openings in walls, floors and ceilings to accommodate piping installations using hand or power tools and machinery.
• The candidate must install supports, valves, piping and control systems.
• The candidate must measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required shape and size.
• The candidate must remove and replace worn components and reactivate systems.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a certificate or diploma in a related trade.
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.

• The candidate should work in various locations when employees are scattered across different worksites.
• The candidate must work in a commercial setting that fosters a workforce of highly competent, respectful, mature, and accountable employees working toward a common goal.
• The candidate should work in the industrial area with facilities such as factories, plants, processing operations, and similar operations.
• The candidate should work in an institution, the purposive action of individuals and organizations aimed at creating, maintaining, and disrupting institutions.
• The candidate must work in residential settings, performing tasks on one-, two-, and three-family dwellings.
