Farm worker - harvesting

DVS Farms Ltd. in Tupperville, ON is seeking a self-motivated Farm worker - harvesting. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. Position status: Seasonal employment or Full time. Flexible availability required for: Early morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must apply the technique of hoeing between the row.
• The candidate must divide fresh harvested produce into marketable and non-marketable lots.
• The candidate will be responsible for harvesting vegetables by hand.
• The candidate must plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops.
• The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must have 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be a good team player.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
• The candidate must work in wet or damp conditions.
• The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.
• The candidate must work in hot conditions.
• The candidate must work in dirty environments.
