Farm worker - harvesting

ProGrower Farms Ltd in King, ON is inviting applications for the position of Farm worker - harvesting. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. Terms of employment: Seasonal employment or Full time. Flexible availability required for: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, On call, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must clear fields of wood and stones.
• The candidate must plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops.
• The candidate must perform weeding.
• The candidate must harvest crops.
• The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate must be a good team player.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
• The candidate must work in wet or damp conditions.
• The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.
• The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.
• The candidate must work in hot conditions.
• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
• The candidate must work in cold or refrigerated conditions.
• The candidate must work in all weather conditions.
• The candidate must work in dirty environments.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in a rural area; most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.
• The candidate must work from a remote location, performing their duties from a site other than the employer’s central office while maintaining productivity and communication.
