Richardson's Farm & Market in Dunnville, ON is inviting applications for the position of Farm worker, fruit. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. Terms of employment: Seasonal employment or Full time. Required shifts: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, On call, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must apply the technique of hoeing between the row.
• The candidate must clean crops effectively.
• The candidate must divide fresh harvested produce into marketable and non-marketable lots.
• The candidate must grade vegetables and fruits into different grades according to size, shape, colour, and volume to fetch a high price in the market.
• The candidate will be responsible for harvesting vegetables by hand.
• The candidate must pack fruits and vegetables.
• The candidate must pick row and orchard crops.
• The candidate must plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops.
• The candidate must sort fruits and vegetables.
• The candidate must tie and secure plants.
• The candidate must perform weeding.
• The candidate must clean work areas.
• The candidate must harvest crops.
• The candidate must load, unload, and transfer crates, supplies, farm produce, livestock, and poultry.
• The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• No experience required. The employer will provide training to the selected candidate.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
