Job Description
- The candidate must interview clients individually, in families, or in groups to assess their situations and determine the types of services required.
- The candidate must provide mediation services.
- The candidate must take authorized protective action when necessary.
- The candidate must provide counsel and therapy to help clients resolve social and personal problems.
- The candidate must plan assistance programs for clients.
- The candidate must refer clients to agencies providing financial assistance, legal aid, housing, medical treatment, and other services.
- The candidate must provide public education and consultation regarding counselling services, issues, and methods.
- The candidate must serve as a member of an interdisciplinary professional team working with client groups.
- The candidate must evaluate the effectiveness of counselling and patient outcomes.
