Polygrace Family Medical Clinic in Calgary, AB is seeking a self-motivated Family physician. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Shift timings include: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift, On call, Flexible hours, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must collect medical information from patients, family members, or other medical professionals.
• The candidate must examine patients’ health conditions to identify diseases and injuries.
• The candidate must help patients develop healthy habits, break old habits, and reshape their approach to wellness.
• The candidate must order laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures to determine the most appropriate medical treatment.
• The candidate must consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients’ physical and mental health.
• The candidate must prescribe and administer medications and treatments.
• The candidate must inoculate and vaccinate patients to prevent and treat diseases.
• The candidate must participate in health care policy and planning.
• The candidate must advise patients on health care.
• The candidate must coordinate or manage primary patient care.
• The candidate must provide acute care management.
• The candidate must provide counselling and support to patients and their families on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues.

• The candidate should work in public or community health centre providers may work in medical clinics, community health centres and allied health practices, such as physiotherapy and podiatry practices.
• The candidate must work in a clinic.
