Automotive service technician

CITY TIRE LTD ( Port Coquitlam, BC) is currently looking for a skilled Automotive service technician. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Required shifts: Overtime required, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must inspect and test mechanical units to identify faults and malfunctions.
• The candidate must adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of automotive systems.
• The candidate must repair or replace mechanical units or components.
• The candidate must test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s specifications.
• The candidate must estimate parts and labour costs to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• The candidate must perform scheduled maintenance service.
• The candidate must test and adjust units to specifications.
• The candidate must advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements.
• The candidate must complete reports to record problems and work performed.
• The candidate must provide exceptional customer service.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate must be dependable.

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
• The candidate must work in hot conditions.
• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
