Job Description

The candidate must develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
The candidate must supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers.
The candidate must establish guidelines for behaviour.
The candidate must attend staff meetings to discuss the progress and challenges of children.
The candidate must establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
The candidate must plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
The candidate must supervise and co-ordinate activities of other early childhood educators and assistants.

Job Requirements

The candidate must be fluent in English.
The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.
