Early childhood educator (ECE)

Little People's Workshop is situated in St. John's, NL and is hiring a Early childhood educator (ECE) to join the team. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Flexible availability required for: Morning, Day.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College/CEGEP diploma.
• Or equivalent experience.
• The candidate must be punctual.
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks frequently.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in various positions, including those that require sitting, standing, and walking, as well as those that involve physical activity.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in a daycare center or nursery school, providing care and supervision while supporting educational and recreational activities that promote children’s cognitive and social development.
