Kids Zone Childcare Centre ( Mississauga, ON) is currently looking for a skilled Early childhood educator (ECE) assistant. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Flexible availability required for: Morning, Day.

Job Description

• The candidate must bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers.
• The candidate must develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
• The candidate must engage in storytelling.
• The candidate must supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers.
• The candidate must assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
• The candidate must order supplies and equipment.
• The candidate must observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
• The candidate must submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors.
• The candidate must discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings.
• The candidate must attend staff meetings to discuss the progress and challenges of children.
• The candidate must establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
• The candidate must plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
• The candidate must plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours.
• The candidate must supervise and co-ordinate activities of other early childhood educators and assistants.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in a child care centre, a day nursery, or a crèches, probably the most formal childcare setting.
