Drywall installer

Now hiring: Drywall installer at Rai Brothers Drywall Ltd. in Surrey, BC. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. The schedule involves Morning, Day, Evening, Overtime available shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.
• The candidate must supervise other workers.
• The candidate must cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
• The candidate must fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
• The candidate must measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets.
• The candidate must position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists.
• The candidate must smooth out excess compound and allow coats to dry.
• The candidate must tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound.
• The candidate must prepare wall and ceiling layouts.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
• The candidate should be required to handle heavy loads as part of routine work.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
