Job Description

The candidate must read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.
The candidate must supervise other workers.
The candidate must clean and prepare surfaces.
The candidate must cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
The candidate must fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
The candidate must finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in finish coat, if required.
The candidate must measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets.
The candidate must position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists.
The candidate must trowel or spray coats of stucco over exteriors of buildings to form weatherproof surfaces.
The candidate must cut openings in lath for heating and ventilation piping, ducts, and electrical outlets.
The candidate must install exterior and interior steel studs.
The candidate must install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings using hand and power tools.
The candidate must prepare wall and ceiling layouts.
The candidate must estimate costs and materials.

The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
The candidate must be flexible.
The candidate must have good judgement skills.
The candidate must be reliable.

Work Site Environment

The candidate must be able to work at heights.
The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.
The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
