Drywall installer

7 Wonders Homes & Construction Inc. is situated in Winnipeg, MB and is hiring a Drywall installer to join the team. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Flexible availability required for: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints smoothly.
• The candidate must cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
• The candidate must fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
• The candidate must fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
• The candidate must measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets.
• The candidate must position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists.
• The candidate must smooth out excess compound and allow coats to dry.
• The candidate must tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must have 3 to less than 5 years of experience in a related field.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in various locations when employees are scattered across different worksites.
