Drywall installer

Grizzly Bear Construction Ltd. in Calgary, AB is inviting applications for the position of Drywall installer. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Flexible availability required for: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, Flexible hours.

Job Description

• The candidate must apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints smoothly.
• The candidate must apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster.
• The candidate must cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
• The candidate must fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
• The candidate must fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
• The candidate must measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets.
• The candidate must position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists.
• The candidate must smooth out excess compound and allow coats to dry.
• The candidate must tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound.
