Drywall installer

Adeer Contracting Ltd in Calgary, AB is seeking a self-motivated Drywall installer. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Flexible availability required for: Day, Evening.

Job Description

• The candidate must apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster.
• The candidate must fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
• The candidate must measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets.
• The candidate must mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency.
• The candidate must position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists.
• The candidate must trowel or spray coats of stucco over exteriors of buildings to form weatherproof surfaces.
• The candidate must install corner beads and wire mesh around beams to which plaster is to be applied.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in various locations when employees are scattered across different worksites.
