Drywall installer and finisher

Nandhu Constructions Ltd. is situated in Winnipeg, MB and is hiring a Drywall installer and finisher to join the team. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Required shifts: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints smoothly.
• The candidate must cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
• The candidate must fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
• The candidate must measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets.
• The candidate must position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists.
• The candidate must smooth out excess compound and allow coats to dry.
• The candidate must tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.
• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in various locations when employees are scattered across different worksites.
